I can't wait to remember what leaving feels like.

Seriously. I am excited for a feeling, and one that will likely put my gut through a roller coaster of highs and lows at that. I don't doubt that I will cry, especially when kissing the kitty goodbye... But I want to feel this again and see if its different.

I still remember what it felt like driving to Montreal one summer morning at 18. My mum, stepdad and I hit the road by 6am, coffees-to-go in hand, with the Jeep packed as full as could be. And I still left behind my quilt. I was so excited (and so sleepy). What I remember most is seeing Montreal slowly appear ahead of us, and as we drove into the city the sights humbled me to quiet tears as I realized I was, actually, being driven home. The original plan had been for us to split the driving three ways, but instead I spent the entire trip in the back seat in awe of the whole experience.

I'm ready to go again.

Oh, there is much I will miss in Montreal, there are many... but that's another story.
