Well, what do you know? After stopping by the tattoo shop so that caveintokisses could get some design ideas drawn up, I found out that my first (of two) tattoos is in the current International Tattoo magazine. Unfortunately, I'm too broke to afford luxuries like food and magazines right now, but I'll have to pick it up after payday.

I'm becoming well-aware of the downside to doing contract computer work, and that's at the time when the project is on its downslope. It's too far away to really start job hunting, but it's close enough for me to worry about paying my house payment and being able to feed my nicotine habit once the job is up, plus the new adult realization that I have to find a way to get health insurance with prescription coverage, because I don't function well without my beautiful Adderal, as I generally have the attention span of a three year old on a lot of espresso.

The jobs are nicely lucrative, and after this one I'll be debt free for the most part (advice: don't get credit cards), but I have no idea both when or where I'll be working, including possible relocation to another state, if temporarily. Stress sucks.

Something more fun and interesting:

Go see Saved! For a while you might think that they're going a little overboard with the satire on how the people act, but I assure you, I've lived right here in the damn buckle of the bible belt my whole life, and it's true. Otherwise, it's brilliantly funny and emotionally involving all at the same time.

If you're in the Greater Birmingham area this approaching Tuesday, you can see the rebirth of my band Blue Eyed Boy Mister Death along with a host of other bands with too-long-names-but-are-still-ass-kicking. It's at Cave 9, and is only a measly $5.
