Little known fact about me: I am a cancer survivor.
So Friday there is a big TV special for StandUp2Cancer. It will be the usual parade of big stars. I am looking forward to it. I think young people need much more cancer awareness. We do to many bad things to our bodies at a young age because we do not think about the consequences.
I hope people watch and just take a few minutes to think about their lives and if there is anything they should do different.
And I can not stress enough the importance of regular screenings. both for guys and girls. Men, testicular cancer strikes men 20-34. You should be checking yourselves monthly just like women should be checking themselves.
A routine dermatology visit is what saved my life.
