Returned a couple days ago. Decompressing. Missing Taiwan a lot. Don't really feel like being here... would rather be in Taipei or Lalu Lake (Sun Moon Lake) here:



I will post more pictures in the pictures folder so I don't force y'all to look at my homeland.

Some fun things I didn't get to take a picture of:

-A sign in Kaoshiung that said "I LOVE MY HO" -- it was supposed to say I LOVE MY HOME but the ME was broken.
-Also in Kaoshiung, along the "love river" which is a pretty little cleaned up river (that used to be filthy) with lots of lights and cafes by it... there are these little concrete pillars and chains to keep you from falling in the water, the pillars look like little concrete penises. I know, I'm childish.
-Ooh, hey in Kaoshiung again, there was a tray of pig hearts on display so you could see just how fresh your food is---I had no idea they were so large!
-On a small highway, there are "spicy girls" -- girls selling Beetlenuts (betelnut?) which is a chewy little stimulant nut wrapped in a green leaf and paste. I'm told the effect is akin to ltos of cigarettes and alcohol the first time, then you build up a tolerance fast. It makes your teeth look bloody. But these spicy girls (named so because beetlenuts are slightly spicy) are usually scantily clad, mostly in bikinis and flourescent boots -- hailing truck drivers in for the freshest squishy bloody nuts.
