It was my friend's 22nd birthday last night and we went to the 4100 bar -- none of us had ever been but we heard it had "asian decor" and we thought it could use some live asian decor--like us.
we're cheesy like that and birthday boy said oriental a lot the whole night and i couldn't stop laughing. i was a little annoyed at the inclusion of a wooden buddha statue as decoration---as a buddhist (weak though, since i was at a bar) I felt that it was inappropriate to have siddartha watching us down shots and pints.
Maybe someone can help me. I met a girl, I hope it's okay to say her name, Jessica, at the SG Burlesque in LA at the Knitting Factory last week. We talked for a bit and then she mentioned she was leaving for Australia for study abroad and I got discouraged so I when the conversation ended, I didn't ask for her number. But if anyone knows her, maybe you can let her know that I wanted to ask--and would still like to chat/correspond--if she's not too busy.
