So I had my Lavender Grad last Saturday and it was great except my mom didn't want to come. That's fine, I understand I graduated a long time ago and she's busy playing mah-jong.

But then my pride as an out bisexual was stomped on by Dodgeball's endless unfunny gay jokes and of course, the ending. It was assuaged by today's screening of Anchorman (free soda and popcorn!) and the promise of Happy Family's vegetarian food.

Okay, not entirely calmed. To add to the silliness, my friend was the one who cut the Dodgeball trailer...and well it's great because it sure got me to see the movie and yay for a good job--but I wish he would have done me the favor of cutting in some of the offensive material for warning...

I'm usually only mildly upset by such things and usually am pretty forgiving because my friends from where I grew up are mostly extremely un-PC homophobic dudes who still make gay jokes in front of me after I've come out and I still hang with them occasionally (everyone needs soccer watching buddies). I guess all I have are sighs.
