went to sxsw and visited boy's mom in Houston (H-Town!!) and I was excited (because i'm dumb) to go to Whataburger

and see a couple good bands. I liked gris gris, fatal flying guilloteens (who slept on the floor where i stayed one night, poor bassist got stuck with the only available piece of floor in front of the bathroom)

only uncool thing was that there was a structural pole at the front center of the stage blocking everything.

also saw rye coalition, quintron and miss pussycat, and a couple others i can't name because they didn't say who they were.

i like what i saw of texas very much. i liked houston a lot. montrose especially. and my car was sorta tagged by "knitta please" -- my antenna was fuzzed with a knit cover, so wonderful! knitta please also does big public "tags" by covering entire street lamps in houston with custom knits. i say sorta tagged because boy is friends with one of the ladies in it and boy asked to get tagged. yay. i saw a magnet that said "i wasn't born in texas but I got here as fast as I could."
