not one single project had an "architect" involved. we are in this together to promote OUR practice - to make people aware of the value we provide, be it architecture or interior architects/designers.
yes yourarchitect there are interior designers that shop, but they still design in their own way and add value to what we both do and that is what makes the masses aware that design is important to everyday life and it only benefits us all.
and happy birthday.

you totally missed the point YA - i clearly did not say architecture itself must be for the masses - organic, integral composition - whatever - there are a million different views on what it should be by a million different designers.
im talking about the practice - the profession - how we stay in business, how we get paid what we are worth, how we promote good design etc.
"there is a need for interiors people" well i am so glad you have validated my profession for me.
in my world i am no better then the marketing person that helped get the job, the cad person that sets up the drawings and does all the nuts and bolts work or the accounting person that helps me keep my project on budget
in the end its a job - just like everybody else has and your elitest attitude that makes you think you are better than interior designers or decoraters really surprises me coming from someone with as much experience and supposed love for the proffession.
i guess we must agree to disagree - good luck to you
