So one whole week of being sober and I am actually going to start the first chapter of my dissertation. Who would have thought that by not drinking pretty much every day that I might actually be able to achieve something...if only I had realised this sooner. I can only hope that it lasts but then again the novelty of the situation may diminish, however I am determined to remain sober till Christmas eve upon which I will go for my traditional all day pub crawl as Christmas eve is the best night out of the year!

ive been thinking it would be a good idea for me to have one whole sober day, and i think that day is today, and ive only been up for 2 hours and i want to smoke so bad already. laaame. I am laid off for 3 weeks, and im afaid if i just sit and smoke and look at tits (like i have been doing a lot lately) i wont get anything done.

Thanks for the support its very much appreciated! Unfortunately I have had to give in to my urges today and am treating myself to some beers and maybe a trip to the pub. I was sat in front of my laptop and my mind was just telling me to get out of the house and relax, too much reading was starting to get to me. I think one day of enjoyment is allowed after a week of solid reading for about 7 hours a day.

Good luck with the sober day Jamberee, if you manage it you never know what might happen. Although saying that sitting around looking at tits isn't exactly a bad way to spend a day if you ask me wink
