I taught high schooL today.
after seemingLy years of scattered empLoyment, I've been teaching/tutoring at SyLvan Learning Centers for a month now. I've been on the sub List for the LocaL high schooL district for three months, and today's the first time they've caLLed me.
I had two EngLish cLasses, a directed studies period, and a biLinguaL geography cLass. (Those pendejos were surprised when eye caLLed them "serotes"...) Then i put in 4 hours at SyLvan... HoLy shit, a 10 hour day. It feeLs good to work.
Even stiLL, the more eye work, the more i wanna go back to schooL to foLLow my passions (art and music) rather than some fucking pragmatic doLLar oriented goaL...
anyway, eye'm not usuaLLy one to seek out vaLidation, butt it's cooL when it comes knockin' at my door so to speak...
