Good morning people
well i had the evening off last night so no music in the car, but i did listen to some good tunes at home. I had a break yesterday afternoon from online browsing and chat, needed to sort some stuff out and needed to clear my head a little.
I was thinking about freakykitty's blog the other day about what movie lifts your spirits, and i thought about what album lifts my spirits. I put a few on yesterday none really seemed to do the trick, but then decided to put on Thin Lizzy's 'Live and dangerous' WOW I think this is the one of the most passion filled, soul filled recordings ever, i say recordings as its technically not an album, just a live show, so it made me cry, yes thats right cry and laugh and dance around my lounge, but most of all it made me feel fucking good. I used to work with a guy that was at this very gig when the album was recorded, he lent me a tape of the album and said have a listen to this, i went home listened, went out the next day and bought the CD, went into to work and said 'this is 1 of the best albums i have ever heard, amazing' So although you will never read this Rob, thanks for introducing me to this classic, as i probably never would have heard it otherwise.
So here are a couple of tracks from the album, this one always makes me shed a tear, even this morning, amazing:

and this track is full of passion:

So there you go, no problem if you dont enjoy, but hey check out the album 'Live and dangerous' it was originally released in june 1978, and really is a classic, that has and will stand the test of time.
so what album lifts your spirits, every time?
xx
