So I passed my judo grading on friday yippee, another one down. The guy I was paired up with was also grading but for a belt below mine, he was such a idiot. He did everything full on balls out hard as if he had something to prove, rather than demonstrating the technical qualities of the techniques, he didnt have a clue on half of his techniques either. I tried to help him with stuff but he still went balls out. this made it difficult for me to look smooth with my techniques but it all worked out well in the end.
I just hate training with people like that, you just know that injuries are around the corner. I've done the whole macho bullshit thing in the past i was a semi pro kickboxer for 12 years and yeah it was full out most of the time. But judo is all about balance and technique, hopefully he will calm down a bit in a few weeks. We had to spar together at the end and he clapped his hands and smiled as if to say come on then, so i thought off we go, and I wiped the floor with him he didnt throw me or tap me once,I lost count of how many times i thew him, and then in ground work< he got pinned and tapped numerous times. I hope that showed him that technique rules the day, I dont think he was too happy, but i was relaxed and didnt go to hard on him,.
