Well, yay. I'm off to the airport in about 4 or 5 hours. It is a 6:30 am flight to Newark, NJ, then on to Las Vegas. I have all my little ointments and fluids in 3-ounce-or-less-sized containers in a quart-sized ziplock baggie. These are things I normally carry in my purse; I put my toothpaste and deodorant in the suitcase because who uses that stuff on the plane anyway? I'm nervous but looking forward to being up in the plane and the view down. I'm bringing the GPS and the laptop so I can communicate with the GPS (and the internet). My cell phone should work because it's a city, it's not like we're going camping (although at the last place we camped I had 4 bars).

I should be busy all weekend with the conference, and the next two days will be spent on the side-trip to Utah, but Steve is staying in LV the whole time so at least he can tell me all about it. I hope there is at least a bathtub in our hotel room.
