Update

I got my SSI rejection letter last week, just as I assumed I would. I haven't felt like writing much lately.

I basically broke down and begged Jaime to help me find the resources to find a disabled-peoples job, somewhere, somehow. I see it as a win-win proposition, either A. I can have some sort of means of supporting myself while I go completely deaf, or B. Jaime can send the SSA photos of me at the hospital when my kidney fails.

Before you ask, yes, I have tried this before on my own. For two years. And each time I go, I either get no reply or told I'm too sick to place in Vocational Rehab*. The SSA keeps telling me I'm fine to work and Vocational Rehab keeps telling I'm too sick to place. Jaime was finally able to get me another appointment with Voc Rehab with her contacts. I'm praying that this time it actually works, so I can stop losing my mind and have some sort of stability.

I'm too worn down to care at this point. I just want this over. I just want it to end.

*- Voc Rehab is a government agency whose purpose is to assist people seeking employment. It is where I was referred to by the SSA office during the several, several times I've asked about finding a job that can work around my disability and ease off government assistance. My experiences with this frustrating process have caused me to react with near-violence to the widespread belief that 'people on welfare are lazy and just don't want to help themselves.'
