I had to go get my ears cleaned today. Sexy, I know.

It was prep-work for a hearing test later on, in the continuing saga of Joeys' 10,000 pages of medical files. I was there for an hour and a half for what I assumed would be a simple procedure. I had to see two nurses, an assistant, and a Dr. just to get some wax out of my ears. That's not even counting the secretaries I saw at the desk. Make no mistake, ladies and gentlemen, my ears are CLEAN. No terrorist operation is going to infiltrate the Nortons Immediate Care Center to keep good citizens from having dirty sound canals, NO SIR.

After the last person came in with my paperwork, I was pretty antsy to leave, so I could get on with the rest of my day. "Just sign here and we can relieve you," the lady said. "So you mean if I don't sign this paper you'd have to keep me here...for dirty ears?" She chuckled and said it was just paperwork. I had humorous thoughts of a man, crazed and bleeding, tearing through a row of nurses...almost reaching the sunlight outside, being chased by a man in dark sunglasses, a black suit, and a squirt nozzle...
