I got a visit from the hummus fairy!
My new friend Malissa just dropped off some hummus she had made. I was posting on facebook about how I have limited access to the kitchen in the house I live in (theres a lot of adults & children here, so it can be a little hectic...plus porscha is very 'southern' in her mentality on the kitchen...for foreign readers, that means that I have a penis, and as thus, should not be in her kitchen...she lets me cook n stuff, but I can tell she gets antsy if I'm there too long). So anyway, in the further adventures of cheaply feeding myself, I was asking around about healthy foods I could buy at a store and stick in my designated fridge drawer, ready to eat. I asked about hummus, and got mostly replies along the lines of 'It's cheap. Make your own'. These replies completely disregarded my line about not having a lot of access to the kitchen.
A woman who's messaged me a few times on facebook named Malissa did so again, saying that she regularly made very large batches of the stuff and would be willing to drop some off at my place, free of charge. I only kind of knew Marissa from her attendance at the improv shows I did a few months back, but she seemed nice. She just left a few minutes ago, after I expressed many thanks and asked her how her interview went. She's job hunting, and that's a common thread amongst most of the people I know, it's pretty rough out there right now. I'd be in the grind of it myself if it weren't for the fact I'm on disability...even the SS worker from my hearing told me there weren't any jobs available for me, and when there are barely any jobs for most of the healthy people I know...well, its just pretty depressing. I wished her luck.
I wonder if she was flirting with me? She's pretty attractive. I always have a hard time telling that kind of thing. I'm writing this blog on a website full of naked people, and most of them aren't flirting with me?
It's hard to tell these days.
