How to get a new outfit for my wife for a special occasion that is a surprise for her.
Background; My wife is a girly girl. She likes shoes, makeup tips and chick flix. I’m okay with that. At one point she was in Roller Derby and was sexy as hell while doing it. After a leg break she stopped that and the leg still bothers her today. We are both reaching middle age and have two kids in elementary. We work in a shop owned by my family in West Texas. So my wife has been a machinist for about 8 years.
Running kids around, having to stop exercising like she once did, working in a machine shop… All of it has taken a toll on her. I see she’s not happy with what she sees in the mirror. Not like when she was younger after her first child and wishing she would pop back to the girl’s body she had in high school, but almost a depression.
She’s beautiful, not only do I love her and tell her often that I do. I lust after her and tell her that she’s sexy. I say all of this in the background, because she doesn’t shop for herself anymore. When she does it more to hide things and not to find something that looks good. This leads to long, straight, dark and frumpy clothes. Out of a group of about 8 friends she is the third tallest. She probably has the second best legs. Minus the one with the boob job she has the best breast in the group. And in my eyes she the best looking one.
Situation; Back when the Adel tickets went on sale, my wife order me and all of her friends to get on their phones and computers and get tickets. She wanted tickets for the Houston show because I think that was the one where we could all stay at a friend’s house and it would be a weekend thing. So no lost work days or having to pay for a hotel. Well if any of you tried too, you would know that trying to get those tickets was almost impossible. Limit 4 per person and at least 6 of them wanted to go and most shows sold out in minutes. No one could get tickets and at one point we all started jumping to other dates for the concert. Still nothing. Total, here in Texas, Adel is playing 6 concerts in 3 locations… Dallas, Austin & Houston. But!
I got my wife and myself VIP tickets for the first Austin show. I’ve already booked the flight, hotel and a limo for the show. Our plane will be landing at 1:05 pm, Check in is at 3pm & the concert at 7:30pm. She doesn’t have an outfit & doesn’t know about any of this.
So what do I do? Should I tell her in advance so she can be ready? Should I drop it on her the day of and take her to the mall when we get there? Will it blow up in my face?
