Here in a few mins I get to take my 18 yr old to the DPS office to take his driving test for a driver's license. At 15 I was asking my mom to let me have a hardship license so I could get out. Shortly after graduation I was in my own apt. He is just getting his license and had no plan of moving out. We told him that if he wasn't enrolled in school with in 3 months of high graduation he was out on his ass. I don't know if we are doing something right to make him take things so slow or something wrong. I could wait to get out when I was his age. How is he so ok with it?

Well, you must have done something right, if he doesn't want to leave at first occasion he has! Second, I don't think 3 months is too slow. It's actually pretty fast. But I still think you should push him minimally at least for him to get out and reach for something... Otherwise he'll stick at your place. That's what happened to my brother... he's still living at my parents at 27. He was asked to go on and look for work or school at times, but I think someone wasn't pushing him hard enough.

I know a lot of members are not used to have much action on their blog, and when I see something worth commenting on, I take the time to do it. It's a nice surprise.
