Tonight is the PHS v OHS hight school game. The book and movie "Friday Night Litghts" was based on our city. Tonight both city high schools will be playing each other. OHS was not mentioned in the movie. At that time they really sucked and they weren't worth mentioning. Permian is ranked 5 in the state right know and OHS sucks yet again. So, this should be a betting. I am getting ready to go to it and post from the game. I want you guys to see what 20k people in a city of .... acording to city-data.com Estimated population in July 2006: 95,163... would look like showing up for a highschool game. Non-season ticket holders have to wait in line for up to 3 hrs to get a number for the day the tickets go on sell. On this day, they can buy no more then 10 tickets per person for the game. OHS went 32 years of loosing to PHS befor beating them in 2001 and once more in 2005... So, in my life time OHS has only beating PHS twice. 38 years ago the last quarterback from OHS to beat PHS was the lead singer from one of those country singing group from back in the 70s and 80s. I think his name was Larry Gatlen from the Gatlen brothers.

Haha, awesome. The Gatlin Brothers was one of those country bands my mom tortured me with when I was a kid and all I wanted to listen to was my horrible pop music.
