what a f**kin roller coaster of a weekend that was 
everything started off so rosey, I scored those V festival tickets an the sun was out, the world was a wonderful place! then me a the guys at work get a call from a dude on another contract, his Mrs has opened a letter he recieved from our company an it says ' we need to let 20 guys go' an apparentley we've all got the letter! The rest of the day is spent hearing rumours an trying to find out what the f**k is going on! I head home excited about DJing but can't get the letter thing out my head! Sure enough when I open the door there is mine laying on the carpet, I open it up an it says that I will not be one of the 2o being laid off, I got an amazing sense of relief but I still feel bad for some of the work mates who will lose their jobs!
Saint Moritz was rockin again friday nite, was kinda a slow start but by midnight we were pretty full an everyone was having fun! Enjoyed a few drinks an met some people who'd never been to our nite before but promised to be back, so it's all good!
Saturday was ACE! We had planned a small get together for Vappu an the morning was spent getting everything ready! I made swedish meatballs an traditional finnish dish with fish, potatoes, carrot, cheese & cream, it took ages to cook but was ready just on time so I was well happy! Some of the other guys had stuff with them too an it was a really great picnic! I took a few pics so hopefully get them up soon!
Vappu was celebrated well into the nite an I was so happy to get nice messages from queenofbruises an pikku sisko
Sunday me an all the people who had stayed over after Vappu headed into camden town, it was another gorgeous day an we wandered around the market an enjoyed a few pints in the Oxford Arms! As it fell dark we went up to the Dublin Castle on parkway for some more booze an live music! Great day!
Yesterday I managed to drag myself out of bed an motivate myself an Sipu to go to the 'give it a name' festival at Alexandra Palace! We didn't have tickets but guessed we would find a tout an scalp some! People have lots of different opinions of touts but I can't really complain as I use them too often, anyways he only charged us 30 for a 25 ticket an if I had ordered them form the web an paid booking fee an postage I would have spent more!
All the bands were great! I was so looking forward to seeing Rise Against but their singer had lost his voice 2 days earlier on tour in Belgium so it wasn't as good as I had hoped from them but great anyways! It was chaos trying to get a beer an YES I had to drink beer as they weren't serving my preffered tipple, cider! Funeral for a Friend closed with an amazing set that included tracks from their forthcoming LP! the welsh know how to rock!
Well I eventually crawled into bed just after midnite an now it's back to work an all the redundancy rumours........we'll see! only 4 days til the weekend again though an my birthday! WOO!!!
