yellowdays

so it was my younger sisters 21 bday yesterday. that was fun. she wanted to eat at the keg, which made it hard for me to not order a steak. i wanted to so badly, but over 3 months is too long for me to comprimise my veggitarianism so i had this really wonderful salmon instead. the we went to the bar and drank and danced. my best friend gave me a shirt a while back, that looked just horrible on me. it made me look terribly pregnant and i complained to her that she should have given it to me when i was so i could at least wear it. so i would wear it with a sweater. but my sister wanted us to dress nicely for dinner and i dont have many nice clothes. so i tried the shirt on and low and behold my summer work out paid off. i no longer look prego in this lovely shirt that show cases my best asset( clearly my chest ;P )and now floats away from my belly to make me look much thinner than i am. so even though i havent gotten anywhere near my goal, i am happy that all my hard work has paid off some already and i went out to the bar without feeling fat for the first time in a long time. actually i think i looked hot. i said to my sister that i thought boys were supposed to be the ones with balls cuz i kept getting hot looks from cute men but none would come talk to me, so i clearly looked too hot, if there is such a thing. but i didnt really mind anyhow, i am uninterested in anything more than flirty looks with anyone at this point in my life anyhow.
so i just so happened to find a new dayhome today. which is rediculously difficult in my stupid town. my old one had agreed to take my son part time when i was finished my summer temporary full time position covering vacation for other staff, but then didnt like that i only needed her one day last week, she told me that she needed at least 3 days a week. now i get that, but i was in need of her 5 days this comming week, and between the 2 weeks i think that works out to, oh i dont know 6 days......so the same as if it had been 3 a week. DENSE. so i convinced her to keep him on, and was concidering paying her when i wasnt bringing him just to keep his spot. then we get to edmonton for dinner, i get him changed and notice a nice big puppy sized bite out of his left shoe. like the shoe wouldnt even stay on his foot so she cant tell me she hadnt noticed when she put his shoes on for him. why wouldnt she just tell me? is she 4 years old and couldnt just appologize?!! like come on. so anyhow this new day home is available 24hrs a day and some weekends, and has no problem taking him for my crazy shift work. and is run half by a girl i graduated with and half with her sister inlaw. so i would have been putting him in this new one anyhow, but who is to say i would have even looked in the paper and found it. so thank you daisy(puppy with a craving for loki shoes).
