OK first off I'll answer your question regarding why we are obsessed with big gas guzzling beasts. Like many others my smile has a direct relationship to my gas pedal. There is simply nothing like dropping the hammer on 300hp and getting thrown back in your seat. Simply put, its better than sex.
As for your moving to red deer. I wouldn't worry about loosing any job opportunities moving here. There are tons of jobs with that kind of pay here, and all you need is your high school (and possibly a drivers license).
