Hey People, how are things?
Unfortunately, I don't have much to report. We just hired a mechanic that's into riding motorcycles, so it looks like I'll have another riding buddy.
I've kind of been in a "creative" mood lately. I wired up an alarm of sorts yesterday as part of a scoring mechanism for this game my roommate thought up over several drunken evenings involving a pool table. (It's actually been a couple years in the making.) It was actually created when we both lived down in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has migrated up to the beautiful Pacific Northwest with us.
I'd explain the game, but, honestly, I'm not sure I completely understand it, I think he's setting up a website with the rules. Anyhoo, the cool thing is that I get to create some pretty cool things using my mechanical/engineering/electrical skills. Just a few things I've got floating around in my mind right now are a scoreboard (incorporating the alarm), a video feed linked to a DVR, and some sort of crazy lighting set up. There are several other ideas I've got forming in my brain, but those three are going to be the first to be brought to life.
How are all of my friends doing in SG Land? I want to hear from you all!
