he's here, working hard...
and i'm a see my timmie and my m in 2 weeks. (assuming i do not break an ankle this weekend when i attempt to rollerblade)
gramma ain't so good. i've visited everyday after work, but she's slipping. yesterday, i entered her room, sat on her bed and talked to her for 3 minutes before she even acknowledged there was another person in the room. she also looked around the room, telling me to get the chicken broth out of the cupboard, take the corn from the freezer...things that just reinforced the fact that she's totally in her own world now. she has shriveled up and her body has begun to return to where she was when her life began, the fetal position. her sister, my great-aunt, comes in tomorrow from chi-town. for gramma and my dad's sake, i hope she doesn't hang on too long after that.

be happy you can see her, too. even if shes that way. its harder to get go when you're not even living in the same state to say goodbye.
