It is said that the best defense is a good offense. The problem with that is that it doesn't allow for communication. Case in point. Earlier this week I discovered that a parcel I had been waiting for had supposedly been delivered to the front door successfully on Monday. It hadn't. I went to the post office to see what I needed to do to fix the situation and what my options were. Or did I just accept the fact I'd lost a $200 shipment. The woman I talked to was more concerned about deflecting any blame from Canada Post than she was listening to me. I wasn't trying to blame anyone and I certainly wasn't acting like an excited monkey. I eventually got the information I was looking for but it took me half an hour when it shouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes. Fortunately the parcel was left outside the front door the next day. Seems that it had been delivered to the wrong house and whoever recieved it dropped it off, nice to know there are still some honest strangers in the world.
Looks like another crazy busy weeekend again. I've decided to perform in a piano recital in May so it's time to put that little extra effort in getting a song ready, the Mozart one probably. Should be finished up at Angelo's tomorrow night so I'll be able to get my Saturday and Monday evenings back again. Which is good because I need a couple weeks to figure out the music software I bought. It came with a 700 page manual and the writing is really small. I was hoping for a chance to go see the movie Constantine sometime this weekend but I doubt I'll have a chance. Not a big Keanu Reeves fan but I used to read Hellbalazer religiously so I was interested in seeing how badly Hollywood screwed up one of my heroes. Oh the horror, the horror......
