Just when I thought I'd seen everything where I work....
Our boss's son Mike works in an adjoining warehouse by himself. He doesn't play well with others so he's got 18,000 sq ft to do whatever the hell he wants, just so he's kept seperate from everyone else. The only reason the rest of us have to deal with him is that his section is used to store any extra stock in and occasionally product is sent over there by the recievers. On Thursday Nelson, the head reciever ,took some oil over to store and Mike just snapped. Nelson is a really nice and peaceful guy and in no way would have done anything to provoke Mike. From what I gather happened Mike punched Nelson in the face, pushed him to the ground and then stepped on his glassses. Pretty simple right? You fire the guy. Not if your Reg Owens and it's your son.
When informed of what happened Reg shrugged his shoulders and said "So? What do you expect me to do about it?" Nelson then phoned the police, he had to so he could make a Workers Compensation claim and get his glasses replaced. Reg called Nelson into his his office, screamed at him for phoning the cops and threatend to fire him.
I honestly think I'm on one of those reality shows that are tweaked just enough to add drama.
The snow here sucks. I was meant to meet Queena for coffee after work yesterday but the busses were so far behind it took me 2 hours to make a 1 hour trip after work. I had other things I was planning on doing last night but had to forget about them. It's not the snow as much as the fact the city has no way of removing it from the roads. Pretty much an ice rink out there untill it melts. I've got a dentist appointment this afternoon so I'll probably give myself a couple hours to get there just to play it safe. Then it's off to Angelo and Lauree's for yet more mixing. If you curious about his band's website it's stiffpropostion.com.
