It's official. I do not have the patience to have children. I spent an hour in a car with a 2 and a 4 year old going up island to Duncan and then another hour coming back down. Yee gods, the constant " Are we there yet?"," It's warm/cold/windy/sunny" and the best of all " Why?". There is only so much that is humanly possible to take. I stand in awe of all parents everywhere, even my own.

Kids are great... Sure, the whys get a bit annoying - but that childlike sense of wonder (which I haven't lost yet, surprisingly) makes me want to hug them. Everything is new and great - and they have so few biases. They just want to learn things, and eat lots of candy. And jump in piles of leaves... I can identify with it, completely.
(I also have fond memories of playing Barbie with kids I used to babysit... We'd crossdress Barbie and Ken, and they just thought it was fun. Gotta love that.)
That said, cleaning up after them is never fun.
