Fancy new look to the site...like it.
Got back from England last Monday but have been either too busy with work or plain old tired to update.
10 days was far too short for me, most of the time was spent with family with but one day for me to do some exploring. Spent that day hiking for about 4 hours in Dartmoor National Park trying not to be attacked ny wild ponies and sheep, followed by a further 2 hours drinking in a pub with some local people (Stella Artois is my new favourite beer...Yum!!!). Safe to say I managed to not sour international relations and confirmed Canadians know how to drink.
I met up with my brother in Plymouth where I spent more time with him in one day thean I have done in the previous five years. Funny how we both had to go to another country to hang out, even though he has a place here in Victoria. Also got to meet his freinds Simon and Kate with whom he is staying with for two months, untill Simon goes to Dubai to teach. I gathered that Kate is going a few months after Simon but they need to be married and before they make that kind of commitment Simon wants to make sure it's worth it.
One shitty thing did happen though. I got striped searched coming back into Canada. This is the second time in a row I've been stopped by Customs and I've got a suspicion that I'm flagged somewhere. Kind of sucks.
The whole thing was not fun in anyway shape or form, with two guys staring up my butt looking for drugs.when all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep having been traveling for over 24 hours at that point and not sleeping for a moment of that time. My only consolation is that I had been traveling for 24 hours so it probably wasn't a preety sight. Haha
Anyways glad to be back home and dealing with the fallout of having three people fired at my work while I was away.
