@baalseraph Precautions still need to be made, yes, but there's far more danger with the fact they're slowly encroaching upon every citizen's ability to protect themselves, and our rights to protect ourselves. Criminals don't give a poop about the gun laws, and my pistol in my house will save my life a lot quicker than the telephone. That's what I really care about. :)

Oh, I'm pretty sure you're totally right about that, and guns handled with responsibility and care are of course a good thing. I have a few friends who are officially trained hunters, which is one of the very few possibilities here to aquire a gun license and a weapons possession card. You need both before you are even allowed to legally buy a gun in Germany. Funny thing is though that our criminals care exactly as much about gun laws as your in the US of A...
