Hello SG land
Its that time again! Time for me to catch you all up on things in my life. Considering its been awhile since I blogged I am not sure where to start. Thanksgiving seems as good a place as any. So, we hosted at our house this year for the first time ever. Little perks of owning a house that I am comfortable and settled in and don't mind people over. I, naturally, did all the cooking. If you all didn't know, I love cooking. The meal turned out pretty well and was nice to spend some time with the family.
Working in retail as I do has made for a very busy last few months which subsequently led to some mighty fine paychecks. With this new found richness 😉 I decided to buy my wife a cuckoo clock for Yule. Something she has wanted for a very long time. Even talked my dad into chipping in on it to alleviate some of the cost. Here's what I picked out.
I will get a better picture when we finally get it mounted. Needless to say though, she was totally surprised. Nothing brings me more joy in life then making my wife happy. I also got most of what I wanted so it was a good haul all in all. One thing I got was that InstantPot everyone has been raving about so now I get to try it out myself.
Which leads me into what this blog is actually titled haha. I hope everyone had a good holiday season, regardless of how you may celebrate it. I just live decorating the house even though we were real busy this year and didnt do as much as normal. Heres our lovely Yule Tree in all its glory.
How did you all spend your holiday?
As this is my last blog if 2019 lets start looking ahead towards 2020. My goal in the next year is to increase my cooking skills and do way more cooking. First things first I am going to start brewing my own kombucha. I absolutely love this stuff and drink it almost everyday. Which has led to an expensive habit. Any of you made kombucha before? Id love to hear some tips if you have any. Another goal/trip planned for next year is that I will be spending my 40th birthday in Germany. Munich to be specific. Always wanted to travel abroad and heres my first time. Im late to the party but at least I made it. More details on that trip in another blog. Though if you have any tips or suggestions about things to do or places to stay in Munich please hit me up.
