Baby, that depends what you mean by job. But I'll find you one. Hell, I'm a friend, a companion, and I never need winding (okay, so sometimes I do).
And oh, yeah, thanks for the compliment on my photos!

turning corners is good. glad to hear it.
well, you could write an entry about how your filthy soul looks, or you could do another massive images-only journal like you did a few weeks back, though i'm not sure which is actually more telling of someone's state of mind - words or images.
anywho, yeah, got to stop boasting about the sex. maybe that can be my new years resolution, along with actually going and getting my hair cut instead of just letting my girlfriend do it, which is fine, until it gets to a particular length and it gets to looking a bit lopsided and i look like one half of my noggin is bigger than the other. aye. . . it will be new year soon nough though - still don't know if i'm spending christmas here or there, and our visitor (ie, my mother) has been a wee bit of a headache, so - we're even les sure. sof wants to spend it in scotland, i want to spend it here - probably just because her stepdad is such a great cook, and christmas to me is all about eating lots. the presents i can do without, it's all about christmas dinner. . .
but yes, stockholm- lots of scultures like that, and never where you expect them to be - they can just kind of appear in the middle of a residential area, which is kind of cool.
i'm about to start working on some larger stuff artistically having spent the last month or so doing head studies, so, i'll throw a badger in there somewhere and photograph the stuff as i go, maybe, capture the process of the painting from start to finish. . . or something.

Thanks loads for the links to your poems.
I read through all of them and liked them very much.
Climbing through the windows and the way it has to be are my favorites but there is something to take from all of them.
Would I be correct in assuming you are a little religious? If so you`ll find that book I recommended even more important to read. Its got some intresting `revelations` in it.
Here is a link to the only poem on here of mine. It wasn`t recieved that well as you`ll see, but seeing your work and people`s comments has inspired me to write some more. I`ve not really done much poetry since school, other than the link below. I remember doing a couple of sonnets so I thought I`d try again for a member. Anyway have a look.
Hope you`re well mate

Where did you come from? And where are you going?
Questions asked of journeying heroes and the like in many folk tales, especially Russian and eastern European ones.
"Where do you come from? Ivan Tsarevich, and where do you go?"

i would have to say i agree with you. (pretty soon your going to have a full page of vervain comments...this is getting out of hand!)

hey, i never thought i'd go fishing. in fact, when sofie used to talk about going fising, i slagged her off, but, it turned out, i had a bloody good time - it's relaxing, something i thought was a cliche, plus, you get that primal 'i catch my own food, cook it, eat it' thing, AND you know you're getting fresh fish, which is more than can be said for nipping down to Tesco.. . .
anyway - i did good, i caught a fish, a nice medium sized bass which then got cooked over a log fire beside the lake. . .
wasn't i saying that i wasn't the outdoorsy type like a fortnight ago? yeah, how things change - fishing one day, and then i've been back to the lake since to go swimming, which was great. me, sofie and a whole bunch of her friends. all female. yeah, it was an enjoyable afternoon. . .
anyway, mother dearest arrives late saturday night for 12 days. we're going down to stockholm to meet her. great city. i want to move there, but sof's having none of it. i guess it's comparable to being in scotland and your significant oterh saying 'hey let's move to london'
so i can sort of understand her reaction
anyway, how's things?

Yes! Exactly. I'm with you on that one. Stick around and scout it out a bit more, see what kind of fish I can catch with my particular brand of bait!
I've spent quite a bit more time posting and debating on the 'Lifestyles' board (as much as the damn speed of the site will allow my patience to tolerate!). There's an interesting series of threads by an "everyman's artcritic" that has sparked some heated art talk. I've jumped right into the middle of it, waving my dick in the air and setting off fireworks. Okay, maybe not that extreme, but it's been a trip!
So, I'm scary when angry? Good!
I think I just have a knack for finding that "zone" where I can upset the cart without really hurting anyone or causing (obvious) damage. Biting, cutting humor tempered with compassion. And I do not mind cutting when I feel so strongly the urge.

Baby pink and blue... sickly pale-yellow, misty white. Oh yeah! I can make it work!
One idea: A tall canvas, hard-edge divided in half horizontally, pink on top, blue on bottom. Smooth monochrome color. Within the pink top, tape off a smaller rectangle that leaves a border of pink on top and sides, and meets the blue, paint it white, and dab it with pale-yellow wash. Inside the white, some of my signature black abstract monoprinting.
I can see 'em clear as day.
But usually, if I can see 'em that clearly in my head, they just don't translate well into the outside world.
Oh well...

well, you would think that much licorice / licquorice (whatever it is) would have that effect, but i think all the meat they eat over here probably counters it, i mean they take it to extremes with stuff like an equivalent of black pudding which is like ours only even more dense, and blood bread which is. . well, bread with blood in. it's pink. some of them actually live on that as a diet. . .
well, it's raining, so our barbeque is off.
but you know, all i really want this friday night is a fish supper, and i can't bloody get one
i think we'll end up spending christmas in scotland though, so it'll be straight off the plane and straight into ayr to find a chip shop.
take care

Have any of you read George Orwell's truthful essay Politics and the English Language? I'm betting at least a few of you have. I only discovered it recently. I recommend that anyone who hasn't read it do so now. It's a remarkable thing. His insight is straightforward and clear, down-to-earth, simple; exact.
I've been dwelling on what he says a lot recently, due...

thanks for the sentiment, man. i appreciate it. to be honest, i'm well aware that railing against la morte is the lament of the fool...but i guess my outrage is indicative of dissatisfaction and the sense that i contribute absolutely nothing to the world, let alone something that will outlive me...which in itself is so melodramatic. ha!
always with the Christ!
he's a mysterious blighter... my problem is i confuse his message with the abuse thereof. like i can't get into sports because i resent the culture that surrounds them. daft analogy, but i hope you catch my drift.
what's the Orwell about exactly? the effect of language on thought? there is/was that school of philosophy positing that words incontrovertibly shape our minds, and the(ir) concern is that we have all these neat little notions like "the state" and "the common man" that don't necessarily exist; they are pernicious spectres pulling important levers inside our heads...
