So to get a little bit personal with y'all: My brother is in the Navy, he just graduated from bootcamp today and we got to hang out with him. I haven't gotten to see him in about 2 months before this and it was definitely an awesome feeling to see him. Before my brother left for the Navy him and I were never really that close. Shit, we almost got into a fight the day before he was supposed to leave. Ever since he left we've been much closer. We just had to take him back to his base because he's leaving in the morning to Texas for his A School. I never thought i'd felt the heartache I felt when I seen him leaving. Like someone took a part of me away, and there's nothing I can do about it. Now granted, I know it's for the best and that I can talk to him now any time I want, but just hanging out with him today like it was before we left: Dancing in the car, giving each other shit about whatever, and just catching up. It hurts my fuckin heart to see him leave. But I know he'll make everyone prouder than they are. My little brother isn't so little anymore I guess.
