Maybe I'm wrong here, but wasn't there something called SuicideGirls long before the internet version? 'Cause it was around 1994 when I first heard about SG (or something VERY similar) ... I know the site has been all "official" since 2001, but maybe she was thinking the same thing I had seen. There were calendars and prints at my local mall when I was 8-9 years old of hot tattood chicks with dreads and piercings... The name could have been different, but it's not like SG is exactly the first place to ever have the idea either...


i've just heard alot (I mean ALOT) of BS about people being here since 2001 and thinking they're some sort of internet/porn gods! I know I'm not the first person to want to be an SG. I'm not the first person who ever climbed on the internet and looked up alternative nude models... But I'm not a freakin' moron just because my profile says I've only been around for 2 months! So what if i didn't have the money (and was underaged ) so I couldn't buy a membership. I've been a fan of alt-modeling since I was maybe 8. I knew it was what i wanted to do with my life since I was 9, when I thought i had stumbled upon Suicide Girls. But god forbid you mention anything BUT SG as a alt-pin-up site/company. And God forbid you show enthusiasm for the entire lifestyle, or even any part of it!

For instance, I start talking to a couple people about why they chose their SG name. Every one of them had something important to say. until one asshat who'd been here "since the very beginning" says that it's just a fucking name and I need to chill out and not take it too damn seriously. Later, I collected a bunch of info from different threads on why people chose their names, the fact that every single SG that I have talked to gets uppity about a girl with a name even remotely close to her own... So I decide to change my SG hopeful name from Althera to something else. It was fine I've got tons of ideas. But it started a war of sorts for naming rights! I say first come first served, right? Then again, that idea doesn't make people happy either. I just guess i can't win.

I got one vote for each name I posted the other day.
That's not gonna help. lol.

I think that I'm going to keep asking for votes for another week. if you agree with someone else, please say so! My hubby isn't much help, and all of my friends nearby are really busy, seeing as it's the beginning of SCA season. So it's completely up to you, with maybe some suggestion from my photographer, (and of course SG staff if they don't like my first choice.)

I know if they decide not ot let you have your first one, they ask for a list of 20 names. so I'll use the list from before, only trimmed down a bit.

Anyways, thanks for those who've already commented on my last blog, and i'll keep you posted. Looks like i might get to use a spiral-staircase for my shoot! TeeHee.
