Maya and Mo

So I got my car back on Sunday. My parents met me at the halfway point of the 14 hour drive (Jackon, Mississippi) and we traded cars. I drovw my mothers car back to Texas last week while my Pathfinder was getting fixed. The final bill for the replaced transmission was $2700. UGH.

So now on top of my regular freelance photography work i have been trying to come up with ways to make extra money. I am going to be listing a lot of stuff on eBay soon.

A friend of mine suggested we go into a pet photography business together. So i have been doing a little research into that. Plus i want to get in to a little more fashion and fetish photography stuff. Freelance photojournalism isn't as lucrative as i'd like it to be and I'm feeling a bit burnt out on it.

I bought a Canon 20D before Christmas. I love that little camera. It made me nervous not havnig an extra camera body for work. If my EOS 1D broke i'd have nothing to use, not even a film camera. (not a professional one anyway) I have plenty of other cameras that use film. I'm still learning all the features of my new toy but it has made me want to just take photos all the time again. I think its because its easier to carry around than the "beast." Its just fun to use and not as heavy. I needed to rediscover the fun part of photography anyway. Work has been kind of a drag lately.

New Years was alright. 2004 basically sucked and was rife with money and car troubles. Girl trouble too. This girl i have been sorta seeing on and off in 2004 has been very flaky and pissing me off. When we talk she says she misses me and wants to see me but then frequently breaks plans to get together. So frustrating. So she pissed me off New Years Eve putting a damper on my evening. I went to a party but didnt' have much fun. So shortly after 2005 began, my friend Susan flashed her breasts at me. Not a bad start to the new year.

Two days later my neighbor, a nice lady and single mother from Africa, offers me $2000 to marry her and help get her a green card. So tits and a marriage proposal. Interesting first few days of the year.
