Catching up on blog homework! social expert
Although I'm an expertise within the beauty industry. I would say, I am a "people expert".
Whether it's to make someone laugh, smile, vent, or to change their confidence for the better. I feed off of the positivity of others. Making others feel good makes me feel good.
I have always believed in treating others the way you would want to be treated. And I try my best everyday to do that, especially as a professional.
I guess I have an aura, that socially attracts people to me, and I to them. And I never like to judge a book by it's cover.
I suffer from anxiety and depression, and I have met people along the road who don't know how to cope with those types of situations, and I have helped many come along way. By sharing stories, advice, and just being there even in silence; it shows how much a kind heart can save a person.
Enhancing peoples' natural beauty, or changing their appearance to just causes them to radiate with confidence is such a beautiful feeling. And the bond I make from people is even greater. I love servicing people. I love talking to people. Teaching them how to "look beautiful outside of the salon". You become a part of their lives. You see them grow, their children grow, you build a connection with people so strong sometimes that you become not only a great customer service provider, but a friend.
The other day, I was walking to by a bubble tea down the street from my work, and I was watching a very old woman struggle to open a door and push her walker at the salon she was leaving. No one, not even the receptionist there had moved to help her. I actually ran across the street and almost got bumped by a car, just to grab the door and help her out. And the smile and thank you that she had given me was the best part of my day. Especially when some of the older generation looks down on my generation for being irresponsible, selfish, etc.
I guess I just love people. I love alot of things, and im an expert in some things, but I think I'm a people person more than anything else. I love it.
As Mother Teresa says, "Go out into the world today and love the people you meet. Let your presence light new light in the hearts of people."
