yesterday i stopped by my folks house to catch up on everything.
my grandfather died recently and they just got back from the funeral and all that. then they had to put my dog down and buried him on the property.
it has been a shit couple weeks for everyone.
it's odd to have more feelings about your dog dying than your grandfather but that is the reality of the situation for my brother and i.
i had a good talk with my dad. then later with my mom.
i know more know about my family now than i ever had. there was always something under the surface, but i never really knew what it was all about, and i just opted out for all these years.
now i kind of get it.
i was lucky. my parents are good ones.
