I left a comment in Sophie's journal today with a brief explanation of my outlook on recreational and habitual drug-users. JessicaLea has heard this preach before, but it's all deductive and associative reasoning to why I think drugs are the downfall of civilization. The main cliche I use is: if they don't care, they don't matter. Sometimes I hate trying to preach to people about why they shouldn't use drugs because it seems pointless to those said people that don't care.
The shooting in North Crowley, TX, reminded me of how gang members get no sympathy from me either. It all boils down to that they're mostly weaklings who get brainwashed by other weaklings to think that a life of crime is justifiable. It enrages me even more when these gangs talk about "family values" and sport Christian idolatry, i.e. crucifices, Virgin Mary murals on the hood of their driveby-mobile, Jesus tattoos, etc.
Read sociology books on deviance. It might not give you justification of these abhorrant crutches, but it'll give you a cynical look on these type of people.

good philosophy. i've been less and less about that lately. it's sad, because i should be less accepting of all the stupid shit people do, but i'm finding the opposite. i guess it's hard when that's all that is around me. makes me tougher about my own beliefs, but less caring about others.
