Today has been a good day. I went down to Thanet today for the first time since January. All the people I was meant to see were busy, so I didn't know who I was going to see when I got their. I popped up to westwood, which is now the main shopping centre for Thanet. It has lots of shops but no character, give me Canterbury with its odd side streets and quirky shops anytime, After that i went into Ramsgate and popped into A little Peculiar to see Gemma (very cool persona and a lovely shop check out at: http://www.myspace.com/alittlepeculiarshop ) . I bought some poi stuff to play around with, I am going to be crap but hay ho, so is life.
After that I went around a friends house. The couple had just had a baby and it was the first time I had seen her. The good news is that she has taken after her mother, especially the eyes (it also had the biggest head I have ever seen in a baby, big head after its father). We chatted for a while and then I popped around an old friends house called David who is the nicest person in the world and uber cool (though he denies it). He has suggest me to another girl who want to be photographed for SG, but I am not sure yet, I need to know my equipment better before I do any indoor photography i.e. get my master/slave function working on my camera properly (I may lend it to a friend and see what she can do (I am rubbish when it comes to learning anything from a book)). Dave Also wants me to go to the fairy fair that happens every year and I am tempted to do it (though money is a big factor with everything at the moment).
Another friend want me to do some photos of her in various aspects of her life, her work side, fetish side etc which sounds interesting. She has also invited me down to Cornwall as well for a fun packed weekend, which I really want to go to.
I have a busy few days coming up. I have a show that I am helping film on Saturday night. I am not getting paid for the show but if it is a success, it will hopefully be bought up by the BBC and that will mean that everyone gets paid and more important more work. My life is currently about building a good reputation and by doing a lot of unpaid work I am hoping to be able to do meet as many people as possible and to show that I know what I am talking about (the only problem is that I really do need to know what i am talking about).
