Well, so far so good, sticking with the blog up to this point. Been busy today, doing laundry and getting all my school crap ready. Feel like I'm a kid again haha. On the downside it's college. Not sure I honestly agree with the amount of pressure put on people my age and younger to go to school. See, I'm "lucky", Army is footing the majority of the bill for my degree. No, it's not a free ride regardless of how much is getting paid for me. It's not free because of what I've done for my country to this point. But that's a matter for another blog. Point is, if it weren't for my VA benefits, I wouldn't be going at all. I don't see the point in shelling out thousands of dollars, or racking up thousands of dollars in debt, for a piece of paper with my name on it that says I'm "educated" Which is another thing, having perused several accounts on a variety of dating websites, what in the hell does it mean when someone says they want somebody "educated"?! I'm sorry, is "Bachelor's in Basket Weaving" a feat that grants an automatic +100 in Intelligence and all requisite feats?! Outside of several fields going to college doesn't make you smarter, all it allows is exposure to subjects and fields outside of the experience of most. I don't need a degree to tell someone I can operate a computer and use a phone. I don't need a degree to tell me I can run a business. All college is is one more way to separate the masses, a form of elitism if you will. Even within college it's their. Community college vs a private college is a case in point. It's all bullshit. But that's enough of the rant. And in case you were wondering I'm currently pursuing an A.S. - Pre-Engineering. The goal is to transfer to NC State for a B.S. Electrical Engineering, with a focus on RF Engineering. Yea I'm a nerd. I've always been interested in cell phones and wireless technologies.
