I was at work today and had some downtime. So I did what any bored, slightly disturbed, and angsty guy would do... I started re-writing The Wizard of Oz... In poem format... Macabre style, and starting with the demise of the Wicked Witch of the East (whom the house falls on). This is what I've got so far:

"A swift chop with her butcher knife
and the East witch was dead
Dorothy eagerly stole her essence, her life
by taking off her head

The munchkins all stood stricken with fear
as thick blood ran down the blade
for the new witch was even worse
O! The mistake they'd made

Omitted, they, the bloodline pact
Set forth by Heaven's Gods
The rule which binds
the slayer to unearthly, evil bonds

'Twas then ensued a massacre
of malevolent content
Their hopes had burned to ashes
Their faith, hellward sent"

Yeah. So that's all I've got so far. It's still VERY rough. I need to change up some words, and add quite a bit more to it, but it's the gist of the poem.

Not much more to update on. I'm going to hit the shower and then run some errands (turn in applications). I'll probably update on how that went, I guess.
