it has been a tear of beautiful days. i haven't gotten to any water yet, unfortunately.
i had to cancel with aforementioned guitar player because i was too hungover yesterday. intead i watched, or tried to watch, bareback mountain. i'm sorry, but it just sucked. the acting was like two new york hipsters trying to play tough. and even the sex scene sucked (i have to admit i turned the movie off it was so lame so there could have been more better scenes). i couldn't stand the soundtrack either. . and the 'vistas' that were supposed to be so beautiful?-- who cares. actually, the movie lost me in the very first scene when the rig that whats his name arrives on was newer than 1963. jesus christ, if you're going to try and set a movie in the past, make sure you're semi truck in the opening shot isn't from the early 90s. i'm from iowa. i notice these things. so that's my brokeback mountain ranch. i can only assume it got famous because it was an 'issue' movie. but so was Boys Don't Cry-- and I thought that movie was fantastic. But then again, Hillary Swank can actually act. Jake watzhisfuck was great in Donny Darko-but that was more because Donny Dorko was a great script and it needed a little pasty kid to pull it off. Sheep hustler he is not.

I had a movie night with some SG friends a while back and we decided to watch Brokeback Mountain... this consisted of skipping through much of it to get to the sex scenes, and then watching the rest on permanent fast forward. It was very entertaining actually
