Thanks for the comments/advice. I decided to write a very nice letter back. Hopefully, it is all smoothed over. Liz is a drama queen. And she is sort of an awful bitch. But she also has good qualities, which I recognize. I just wish my friend hadn't put me in that position at all. I feel taddled on. But that's all so yesterday now. . on to today.

Last night I was going through a new recipe book and found one for trout fillets wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with herb butter. I'm going to make it in the next couple of days.

I watched Godard's Contempt last night. It has Brigitte Bardot naked, or at least her back, for many of the scenes. Desipte this, it was pretty dull. I've decided to make it through the last few Godard's I haven't seen, though, so I'm glad I saw it.

I am still reading Tristam Shandy. It is the literary equivalent of the Long March. I hope I survive. I haven't grumbled this much reading a book since Crime & Punishment.

I'm ready for the weekend. I might be getting sick.
