i'm trying to get off early to go on a stroll with my friend and his baby. but i have a 1-3 o'clock meeting. on a friday of all days. i attempted to watch Mists of Avalon (don't ask) last night. thank god angelica was saved from TNT b movies by wes anderson. poor thing, what would have happened to her otherwise. maybe wes was moved to cast her after a similiarly bad experience with Mists of Avalon. pity casting is so hot. . . the gunther schuller program was OK. I didn't realize he was a french horn player. Thus, most of the pieces figured horns centrally. In fact, one piece had 16 horns. other than seeing 16 co-eds blowing on stage all at once, it was a pretty muddy affair. i left after the first half. this morning is crisp. crisp enough to walk and take back the aforementioned bad angelica houston movie and plan for a lunch stroll with my friend and baby. i finally wrote marie about leopardi. the translator of my version was her professor at Vassar. tonight is My Morning Jacket, but I think I'll skip it since the Annex ruins all bands for me.
