I've been super conflicted this laster year because it seems like every other week I am at a show. For the first little while I would do is get into fights at the bigger non-local shows because I could get away with it, being friends with the people who run the venues has it's perks. But I'm tired. I'm not a kid anymore. I want to give back to the music scene here which has given so much to me. I'm tired of these tough guys coming to shows and beating up the little kids which discourages lots of people from coming out and having fun. Fighting is stupid. I hate it. I'm old. I'm 25. I have a kid. I'm done with all of it. I want the music scene to be a safe place for everyone to come and have fun. So what if you get hit when someone is dancing. Don't be a baby about it. You know the risks when you go into a pit.
All I know is Hardcore saved my life two years ago. When I was going through my divorce, my son and above all else my friends were there for me. It gave me a community, a home of people who thought just like me. I've been Straight Edge for 6 years now and I wouldn't trade it for anything else… I'm apart of this scene because the world out there doesn't share my views on life. Anyone and everyone is accepted.
Other then that, I'm in school. Working. It's a party. Yeah.
