Well I haven't been updating this an awful lot lately. :/
So a quick update:
Elli is big, round, and about to pop. She's acquired a crib, car seat, stroller, high-chair/table, baby clothes, etc....
My bank account is empty.
Work is going well, I've got some projects on track, some are lagging behind, but that's alright. I have another new guy coming in on the support side for now, and am hoping to shift him up to admin (if he lives us to his resume) and bring in another tech guy soon.
Franklin is boring as usual. Elli and I did get an invite out to join with the rich socialites, as if my position gives me some value to that grouping. All in all, I had a good time. I think I'll go again, though I hope they quit trying to squeeze me for internal company info and future plans.
Well I'm a little ball of excitement as Elli's due date of August 6th approaches. The poor girl is so sad that she's so "fat", as if a baby in your tummy even comes close to qualifying as fat. Whee! Can't wait to play with my baby girl!
I should have my office set up in 2-3 weeks, fingers crossed. Need to get in a few more blackberries and a couple more laptops for incoming staff. I'm still fighting with the local small-town-politickers to suck it up and run a 100-meg fiber line into the building. I hold in my hands a very reasonable quote, I just need to coerce people into paying for it.
New product launches are coming up soon, and hopefully those will correspond to a nice revenue hike in the double-percentage range, but I won't hold my breath. If we can make that happen though, I'll have a LOT more breathing room.
