The New and Improved Post!

So I just got back from the drill weekend in Jacksonville today. A weekend of eating MRE's that give you the stomach straight from the depths of Hades. A weekend of sleeping in a glorified, water (but of course, not the cold) repellant body bag. A weekend which included the following in no particular order:
Two one-mile marches 40-50 lb. packs, rain, Yes sir's, Aye Aye Sergeant's, Tedious Radio Watch, A total of 5 hours of sleep, Night Ops, Patrolling, Comm Repair, Hip-Pocket Classes to make it look like we were keeping busy, more rain, and an hour search for radio batteries that weren't really lost in the first place.
The above were the cons, but at the same time, when you are a Marine, these are the PROS as well. So all in all it was an awesome time. Not looking forward to going back sometime next month, but enjoyable.
I wish I had my digital camera so I could take some pictures of what it was llike, but I will work on that for next time!
I will leave with the most memorable quote of the weekend: Namely,Sunday morning at 3 AM before we went to sleep.
CPL R.: "You Marines better have a clean shave when we get back to the HTC, because I have been eating MRE's all weekend and if you are the one I see with no shave, I will rip off your head and shit down your neck!!!"
Random marine:"...I would like to see you try..."
CPL R.: "Who said that? I would like to see you try??? Don't try me, buddy, Believe you me, I already have the legs through the door my friend!"
/// Well it was funny at the time. We were delirious at this point what can I say
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh did I mention the "SuicideBoy set I am working on? Yeah....about that...The planning phase is done and I have moved on to the photo ops phase. I will post the set in about a week.
Why a SB set you ask? eh, I feel like it and I can have fun with it too. More updates to come...
