If we're going to talk religion in music let's check out a band that rose from the ashes of the amazing Krishna Straight Edge band, Shelter. Better Than a Thousand is posi-core at it's finest.
Okay, if I'm going to go Krishna, Straight Edge, and vegan I may as well give huge props to a band that kept Cleveland on the map in relation to punk and hardcore. The Spudmonsters!
Anyone guess who the vocalist is on this album? Hint, at one time he was Straight Edge and in a hardcore band before becoming a full fledged political activist in RATM. You do know, right? The band is Inside Out and well before he was dropping another radical bomb track he was bouncing around like a true punk rocker.
Lastly, I just wanted to share a track by the talented and beautiful man known as Henry Garfield. He was later known to us as Henry Rollins, but teenage punk rocker Hank started shit up in State of Alert while his best buddy Ian was all about starting a minor threat. 😉
