Friday: Went to All Ages to try and find the new Deal With It album on CD but they didn't have it, picked up a bunch of obscure stuff for not so cheap. Went to The World's End and got a ticket for Gentleman's Pistols then went to the second hand place and got two CDs from both the downstairs and upstairs sections, got something to eat in Tai, swore I saw members of Converge sitting down at a table. Sat down and read in The World's End, about half six I could feel the vibration under my feet that could only be a band playing downstairs and wondered "are they just soundchecking or have they opened the doors early again" they had.

Centurions Ghost: Think I only missed half a song, they played fucking great to just a handful of people who bothered to show up, this was apparently their last show with their male guitarist

Mills showed up after they finished.

Coliseum: Never really liked them on record before but they damn near took my head off live. Everything I heard from them sounded more Doomy, I wasn't expecting them to sound like Zeke (Mills said he thought they sounded like High On Fire with less guitar solos). Picked up a couple of CDs afterwards, their merch guy didn't have change for a twenty so he threw in a few stickers and a patch.

Integrity: They're one of those bands I never really got into but I can appreciate for influencing A LOT of bands I love. Surprised that not many people were moshing at first, they might be a bit too openly Metal for London Hardcore kids. I don't think I've seen so many local people at a Hardcore show before (I've seen loads of people from home whenever Down play but they were in much bigger venues), saw Fubar and had a chat.

Converge: Jacob's shaved his head again and looks better for it. I wasn't sure how good they'd be as having seen them twice before I knew that they can either be really great or play like they haven't slept in a few days, but they actually played fucking great (even Mills was impressed at how tight they sounded). There was some great onstage banter, Nate had the best "put your cameras down, get up here and sing, stagedive, this is a Hardcore show, not an arts school project" and Jacob took the piss out of a guy that looked like Abraham Lincoln "no, you're cool, you freed the slaves." Took loads of pictures but regretted putting my camera away when a shirtless Fubar got onstage and dived off. They only played stuff off the last three albums until the end they played Locust Reign, Conduit and encored with The Saddest Day.

Went to Victoria, got something to eat at Wasabi, got on a train home, laughed at a Northern woman arguing with her boyfriend over the phone. We both got off at Chatham, ran into Ant as he was going to get his train home, got a cheap taxi home.
