Saturday: I'll try and keep the facts to the bare minimum. Nearly didn't go 'til Steve text me on Friday afternoon. Did a dummy run on Saturday morning to make sure I could find the place (got a bit lost and wound up in Northfleet and had to back track). Text Steve that I'd go if he'd give me a lift to Gravesend train station afterwards (because fuck walking through Gravesend at night for a game of soldiers), he agreed to I went. Got barked at by the guard dogs in the building supplies factory next to it. Met Wired chatting with their mates in Colt 44. The headlining band, Freshman, were sound checking but fucked off before Colt 44 and Wired had their turn and didn't come back 'til Wired nearly finished, both bands agreed to pack up their gear and leave before Freshman played. Wired started their set with just Colt 44 and some parents and Girlfriends watching, some of Steve's Gravesend friends I recognised from Download 05 came in towards the end of their set and started chanting their nick name for Steve, Shrimpy, when they finished.








Colt 44 went on straight after while most of Wired were in the beer garden to smoke, which didn't give them much of a chance watch them. Helped load Steve's gear into his car then he gave Gabriel's Dad a lift into Gravesend then gave Nadine and myself a lift back to our houses.
