i'm not a religious person, and i don't believe in a god per se, but if there is a cosmic force at work in the universe, and that cosmic force checks my journal on occasion, i just want to say this:
please protect the lives of the many from the stupidity of the few
please bring home my brothers and sisters alive and safe

I think my head may just explode.

The logic of the american government has finally faded away completely. I view the bullshit that is happening now as nothing more than a move toward empire. The republic is dying... or perhaps it's already dead. A president we didn't elect has put us into a war we didn't want, and forever shifted the reality of the world. It makes me feel ashamed to be american.

As a people, we are too uneducated, too isolationist, to uninvolved with the world. We have allowed ourselves as a people to become disconnected from reality, and replaced it with "reality tv". We fail to see the true outcome of our actions and don't recognize the gravity of what is happening in our names.

It makes me feel ill.

trust the government, they're representing you and your opinions. trust the people you work for, you do good work for them, they'll look out for you. trust the media, they're keeping you informed. trust your neighbors, they live where you live and together you can keep things safe.

now:
don't trust the government, they're in it for the $. don't trust the people you work for, they'll use you till they can find a cheaper worker to save $. don't trust the media, they're in it for the $ and they need the governemtn to keep them rich. don't trust your neighbors, they could be terrorists.
